Elijah came to this world on Tuesday March 7, 2000. Elijah was three weeks early but was born in perfect condition. Both mother and child are doing well. Mother had no idea her baby would come so soon. She was lying in bed and felt very uncomfortable she called the doctor's office but everything was fine to her knowledge, while she was talking on the phone with the office she never got out of bed, she then hung up the phone and went to the bathroom, was then that here "water broke" Mother had no pain, no contractions but knew she was in labor she proceeded to the hospital, got to the hospital at 10:15am and had no pains at around 7:00pm she was hiven some medicine to make contractions start is then when the unbearable pain of labor began... Mother started pushing at about 12:00 midnight and Elijah was born healthy and beautiful at 2:28am. Mother's brother Jose Luis Soto II was the coach for this beautiful occasion. Our love to the new family and all our best wishes.

When we found out that I was pregnant with Shaina, we were so excited and happy. And during my first trimester I was so sick that I could not keep anything on my stomach, I threw everything up. And my doctor had me admitted to the hospital for extreme dehydration and weight loss (I had lost 18 pounds in less than 3 weeks time)therefore, myself and my baby's lives were in danger. While I was in the hospital, my daughter Ashley celebrated her 2nd birthday, so her daddy and I were unable to give her a party. But, when I came home from the hospital, we bought her a cake and a candle and she was happy about that. We also took Ashley with us to all of my Dr.'s appointments, so that she would know what was going on and know that she was going to be a big sister. And it was awesome when we had our ultra sound done, that is when we found out that we were having another girl (even though my husband knew that before the ultra sound was ever done)Lucky Guess!! Anyway, everything was progressing well. My due date was 4/1/2000 and we had discussed with my OB about delivering on the 24th of March, because we did not want our baby to be teased about being born on "April Fools Day". Then I began to get really big, and my OB was concerned, because he did not know if I was just having a large baby or if I had alot of fluid inside. So he sent us to the hospital for a special ultra sound to be done. And it turned out that our baby was already over 8lbs. they just did not know how much over 8lbs that she was. So, we ended up delivering by c-section on 3/13/2000, at 37 weeks gestation (3 weeks early). When she was born, she was having some problems with her breathing and her blood sugar was low, so she had to be placed in the neonatal intensive care unit and she had to stay there for 7 days. At which time she was discharged from the hospital on 3/20/2000. And we were very happy and excited to bring her home. And she is doing great and growing really good. We love her and her sister both very much.
